Obituary for Clarinda Pattison

Cookie (Clarinda) 54 of Tacoma Washington passed away in Puyallup on July 28; she was born on April 11, 1963 in Burien Washington.

Cookie was the third child of four children of Harold and Clarinda Welsh.

Cookie being a very bright child full of energy was always busy! She was part fish and impossible to get out of the water. She was most happy while camping with the family.

While attending Mt Rainier High School in Des Moines Washington (graduated 1981) she was employed at The Masonic home in Des Moines. She loved to fuss and entertain the residents. She was part of the Black Watch Drum and Bugle Corp and had the opportunity to go to Washington DC to perform. She enjoyed all her friends and being involved.
Cookie was married to Paul Pattison from 1982 until 2011.

Cookie’s home was at Alaska Gardens in Tacoma Washington from 2008 until her passing. She was an advocate for many residents. Her nature was that of a mom taking care of her kids, and viewed the staff as her family. She grew to love baseball under the careful eye of Minnie, her roommate.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Welsh. She will be greatly missed by her mom Clarinda and dad Joe Hickox, sister Cindy Dickinson, brother Paul Welsh and sister Faith Anderson. Not to mention all her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and outlaws and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Champions Centre at a later date.
