Paul Wayne Ojala

Paul was born in Newport, RI on June 2 1956 and passed away In Steilacoom, WA
on 9/ 6/ 2018.
He leaves behind his 3 children, Patricia O’Jala, Joseph O’Jala, and Virginia Selby and his granddaughter Amira O’Jala. He is also survived by his mother Jeanette Jackson and 4 siblings, Lynn O’Jala, Mark O’Jala, Craig O’Jala and Susan O’Jala as well as several nieces and nephews.

Paul was raised in Lakewood WA and became a proud Marine in 1975. He served his country as a Marine for 23 years until his retirement as a 1st Sergeant in 1991. He then served the Marine Corps an additional 12 years in retirement in a civil service position. He was a long time resident of CA where he had made many longtime friends. After his retirement he returned to Washington State to be nearer his family, especially his beloved granddaughter Amira.

Paul was a dedicated father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. He had a big heart and broad smile. His passions were family, golf and the Marine Corps. He will be terribly missed by his family and friends.
A service with full military honors will be performed at a later date at Tahoma National Cemetery where Paul will be laid to rest with fellow Marines who have gone before him.
